Into the Glacier day tour - Experience the magnificent ice cave on Langjökull Glacier

This day tour from Reykjavik gives you the opportunity to experience a day full of adventure, in one of our comfortable busses. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to explore one of the most beautiful wildernesses in the world and see Iceland’s second largest glacier Langjökull – from the outside and the inside!

Never before have you been able to see the breathtaking blue ice at the heart of the glacier Langjökull. No doubt it will be a memorable day.

The drive from Reykjavik to Langjökull is very scenic and beautiful, and on the way, we will make a stop by the Hraunfossar waterfalls. “Hraun” in Icelandic means lava, and the waterfalls were actually created by a volcanic eruption by the Langjökull glacier.

At Langjökull glacier’s edge we will take a drive in our modified glacier vehicle to the top of the glacier. Here you will experience the raw untouched nature on the glacier. Once we get to the glacier cave, we will give you all the safety instructions and equipment needed. In the cave you will have plenty of opportunities to explore the inside of the beautiful man-made tunnel and hear all the interesting facts about it from our guides.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime tour where you get to explore the outside and the inside of the magnificent glacier Langjökull.

Please be ready 30 min before scheduled departure at your accommodation/bus stop in Reykjavik. The bus will be parked outside hotels, and the bus driver will NOT come in and look for you.
